Every festive menu deserves a scrumptious starter or two. PnP has quick, easy and stylish solutions for snacks in a flash.

Toasted treats

Simply take bruschetta and add a selection of toppings – there’ll be something to tickle everyone’s fancy. 

And, if you know you’ll have people dropping by over the holidays, pre-make your crostini and store them in a sealed container. Then simply pop them into a hot oven for a few minutes when the doorbell rings.

You’ll need:
Crostini bread rounds (use baguette, ciabatta or sourdough).

To toast:
Rub with garlic, lightly drizzle with olive oil and grill for a minute or two on either side.

Toppings:

  • Salami and peppers: Chargrill or roast peppers, peel and slice. Top toasts with PnP sliced cervelat (salami) and pepper strips.
  • Tapenade and rocket: Spread toasts with a dollop of olive tapenade and top with PnP rocket and a drizzle of olive oil.
  • Butternut and feta: Roast PnP diced butternut until golden, pile onto toasts and crumble over PnP feta.
  • Classic tomato: Chop a few PnP mini Italian tomatoes, add torn basil leaves, a glug of olive oil and balsamic vinegar.

Keep ready-to-serve seafood staples in your fridge or pantry and you’ll be able to whip up snappy snacks in an instant. Don’t forget the crackers, capers and lemon wedges!

  • PnP trout terrine: Make canapé rolls by wrapping dollops of terrine in strips of shaved cucumber, or simply serve with crusty bread and crudités.
  • PnP herbed mackerel: Skin and flake a fillet of mackerel and blitz with a tub of PnP cream cheese to make a heavenly pâté – great with PnP melba toasts or rye bread.
  • PnP smoked salmon: Top slices of salmon with thinly sliced red onion, capers and a dressing made with mayonnaise, a little horseradish and a squeeze of lemon juice.
