To enhance and develop skills.
To support projects that encourage entrepreneurship, self-reliance and provide employment opportunities.

Key objectives

To make a meaningful and measurable contribution in the areas that we operate.
To develop open and transparent partnerships and relationships with relevant organisations (such as government / NDA / SAGA / other corporates and foundations).
To focus on initiatives that in alignment with Pick n Pay's initiatives.
To work with Pick n Pay for mutual benefit.

Building a sustainable world

The Foundation's primary objective is to enable South Africans to provide for themselves while aspiring to improve their lives and contribute to their communities.
We want to make a measurable contribution to sustainable development by enhancing and developing skills and projects that encourage entrepreneurship and self-reliance, and provide employment opportunities.

We believe that sustainable enterprise development can relieve conditions of poverty and unemployment, and uplift the quality of life of marginalised and disadvantaged emerging entrepreneurs.

One of our most successful endeavours has been linking emerging farmers to Pick n Pay Stores - the most difficult challenge for emerging farmers has traditionally been market access. Communities are encouraged to run their enterprises using sound business principles, and guidance and ongoing mentorship is provided to assist in this regard.
