Terms and conditions

• The competition runs from Monday 30th of January 2012 to Sunday 26th of February 2012.
• The random draws for daily winners will take place 3 days after each eligible million point winner day (i.e. the draw for Monday 30th of January 2012 will take place on Thursday 2nd of February 2012).
• The competition is only open to valid smart shopper card holders.
• Entries into draw are based on purchases of eligible items on a daily basis (i.e. Product A is bought on Monday and gives smart shopper member an entry for Monday’s draw. Product A can then also be bought on Tuesday and will then give an entry into Tuesday’s draw). Each Sunday during the competition, Pick n Pay will advertise in the media which products will qualify as eligible products for that particular week. These items will also be listed on the Pick n Pay website and the smart shopper kiosks in-store.
• Multiple daily entries are possible and will arise in the following circumstances: Each eligible product purchased will give rise to an entry (i.e if a smart shopper member buys eligible Products A, B and C it will give him/her three entries into the daily draw) and where multiple quantities of the same eligible product are purchased each of those units will give rise to an entry (i.e if a smart shopper member buys 10 units of eligible Product A it will give him/her 10 entries into the daily draw).
• The winner of each daily draw will be contacted via the phone number supplied by the smart shopper customer on the smart shopper application form, or by any of the other requested communication methods the day after the daily draw to inform him/her of the following:
• That he/she is the winner
• The day that he/she won for
• When points will be allocated to his/her smart shopper account
• Winning smart shopper customers who cannot be reached within 7 business days via the contact details on the Smart shopper application form will forfeit their prize and Pick n Pay reserve the right to do a re-draw and establish a valid winner.
• Points will be allocated to the winner’s smart shopper account as soon as is practicable after the relevant draw.
• Winners agree that Pick n Pay may publish their names at no cost in the media and in any advertising materials relating to the competition. Pick n Pay may request the winners to be photographed at no cost for publicity purposes, but winners may decline to do so.
• The daily (and only) prize is 1,000,000 smart shopper points to be awarded to the winning smart shopper picked from the random draw in respect of that day.
•  The judges decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. The draws will be witnessed by an independent 3rd party auditor.
• The prize is not transferable and is only paid out in smart shopper points.
• The following persons will not be eligible to be awarded a prize in this competition– (a) a director, member, partner, employee or agent of, or consultant to Pick n Pay or any other person who controls or is controlled by Pick n Pay; or (b) a supplier of goods or services in connection with this competition.
• If required, Pick n Pay shall have the right to terminate this competition immediately and without notice. In the event of such termination, all entrants agree to waive any rights that they have in terms of this competition and acknowledge that they will have no recourse against Pick n Pay, their agents and promoters.
• By participating in this competition, participants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. Pick n Pay reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions and any such amendments will be published on the Pick n Pay website and at the smart shopper kiosks in-store.
