Each year thousands of South Africans, mostly children and young adults under the age of 25, are diagnosed with life threatening blood disorders such as leukaemia. For most, their only chance of survival is a bone marrow stem cell transplant.
The Sunflower Fund aims to educate and recruit a viable source of well-informed potential bone marrow stem cell donors on to the South African Bone Marrow Registry, who are ethnically diverse, in an effort to save the lives of those needing a transplant when suffering from life threatening blood disorders. Help The Sunflower Fund build a state asset that could protect future generations and provide hope to current patients who need to be given an opportunity to life.
