Method
  • Rub the inside of a saucepan with garlic clove. Discard garlic.
  • Heat cheese, lemon juice, flour, wine (and sherry if desired) over a low heat, stirring constantly, until smooth
  • Grate over nutmeg and season if necessary
  • Decant into a fondue pot
  • Serve with baby potatoes, gherkins, cocktail onions and bread


Another good idea

  • Use a ripe brie or camembert cheese to make this fondue. Simply remove the white rind before melting the cheese.
