Method
  • Preheat oven to 160ºC.
  • Break chocolate into pieces.
  • Place in a blender with butter, sugar, almonds, salt, chilli and 1 Tbsp cocoa.
  • Blend until smooth.
  • Add eggs, one at a time, to blender, then add flour. Blend until smooth.
  • Grease a 21cm x 21cm cake tin with butter and dust with remaining cocoa. 
  • Pour in cake mixture and bake for 18 - 20 minutes or until cooked through, but still slightly squidgy in the middle. 
  • Cool and dust with icing sugar.

  • Stir leftover diced cake through ice cream with a splash of something boozy.
