Make a big batch of marinade and keep it in the fridge for chicken, pork or beef ribs - it's lip-smackin' good!

Method
  • Preheat oven grill to its maximum setting.
  • Place marinade ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a simmer, then cook until reduced.
  • Place ribs on a foil-lined baking tray and season.
  • Brush liberally with marinade and grill, turning occasionally and basting frequently until caramelised and cooked through.
  • Serve with plenty of serviettes.

Onion rings

  • Mix flour with a pinch of salt and enough Coca-Cola to form a batter resembling the consistency of yoghurt. 
  • Dust thickly sliced onion rings with flour, then coat in Coca-Cola batter. 
  • Deep-fry in batches until golden. Serve with ribs, burgers or steak.
