Method
  • Beat eggs and gradually add sugar.
  • Add butter and half the milk and stir well.
  • Sift flour, baking powder and salt and add to egg mixture. 
  • Slowly stir in remaining milk and mix until smooth.

     

Heart-shaped flapjacks

  • Get some tin foil and a small frying pan from Mum’s kitchen cupboard and don’t forget your flapjack batter that you prepared earlier!
  • Fold tin foil into a long strip (the length of a 30cm ruler) and shape into a heart, joining the ends by folding them over.
  • Place heart-shaped tin foil ‘mould’ into pan and pour in fl apjack batter.
  • When the flapjack starts to bubble, use a knife to loosen edges. 
  • Remove mould, flip and let your friends add their choice of choc shavings, cinnamon or sugar.
