Method
  • Preheat the oven to 170°C. Grease and line a deep 25cm baking tin.
  • Beat sugar and eggs until pale, then add butter and vanilla
  • Sift the flour, cocoa and salt and mix in the nuts and chocolate
  • Combine the sugar mixture with the dry ingredients, mix well
  • Pour batter into tin and bake for 30-40 minutes until just set but still soft in the middle
  • Cool in the tin and slice into squares
