Method
  • Butter all the slices of bread
  • Place crab, watercress, mayonnaise, lemon juice and peel and Tabasco sauce together in a bowl. Season and mix.
  • Spread six slices of bread with a generous amount of filling and close sandwiches with another six slices.
  • Top sandwiches with cucumber and remaining slices of bread to form triple-layer sandwiches.
  • Cut off crusts and slice each sandwich into six
  • Refrigerate until ready to serve

  • Make sandwiches on the afternoon of the party and keep them covered with clingfilm in the fridge.
