Method
  • Preheat oven to 180°C
  • Gently prick Camembert all over with a fork. Push sliced garlic shards into cheese.
  • Place Camembert in a small ovenproof dish
  • Scatter with thyme
  • Pour wine and a drizzle of olive oil over cheese
  • Bake for about 10 -15 minutes, or until cheese is slightly puffed up, soft and golden
  • Season and serve with crostini toasts


Good ideas

  • Roast unpeeled cloves of garlic tossed with olive oil until soft and slightly charred. Serve with cheese.
  • Substitute the wine with verjuice
